A comic about wind-up toys just popped into my head in the middle of the night. Not that I ever collected them, but I do like wind-up toys and always have. So do the kids. My favorite was a wind-up Snoopy doll. After that, it was a wind-up robot like the one in "Lost in Space." Both my son and daughters got a lot of play time from a wind-up Thomas the Tank Engine.
The webcomic that came to me from out of nowhere goes like this: A young girl says to her toy wind-up doll, "You seem to be a little wound up. Is anything wrong?"
I say "out of nowhere," but actually, I believe it to be from God. He says in Matthew 6 not to worry about your life.
Webcomic drawn by Joe Chiappetta 2009 on HP iPAQ Pocket PC running Windows Mobile, in Conduits Pocket Artist program.
For those new to the world of webcomics and comics, an often posed industry question is, "Are comics fine art?" My answer is, yes. Comics are definitely fine art. However, the majority of all fine art produced will end up in the junk pile or on the Internet--that's just life.
