I saw the most remarkable homeless announcement ever. A man was begging for money on a busy downtown Chicago street corner, and he held a giant cardboard sign that said, "Girlfriend kidnapped by ninjas... need money for ransom and kung-fu lessons."

Not that anyone would recognize it from the sketch, but the street corner where I saw an actual person holding this sign is the intersection of State Street and Randolph, by Macy's Department Store.
